FOOTBALL: Bardney ready for semi final test

Batting Bardney are gearing up for one of their biggest tests of the season tomorrow (Sunday).

They will take on Scothern United in the semi finals of the Lincoln and District League’s Kelly Read Cup.

Bardney have swept into the last four of the competition in impressive style, climbing to fourth place in the Division Four table.

However, they will face a tough test against top flight Scothern and will need key players like Josh Cheetham and Adam Hughes to be on top form.

The winners of tomorrow’s clash will play Newton United or Metheringham in the final.

In the league, Wragby travel to Ruston Sports in Division One looking to climb away from next-to-bottom position.

There’s no game for AFC Harpars in Division Two while Horncastle Town’s Development Squad entertain mid-table Shakespeare Athletic in a Division Five clash at The Wong.
