Woodhall Spa’s first XI remained at the top of the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League after Saturday’s games.
Spa and second-placed Bracebridge Heath did not play and will meet each other on the August Bank Holiday. Woodhall are just four points ahead of Bracebridge, with Sleaford a further 13 points adrift in third.
Meanwhile in the South Lincs and Border League Premier Division, Paul Timby took 6-29 in Woodhall Spa 2nd’s victory over Spalding’s second string to keep his side in second place.
Woodhall won the toss and elected to bat at Spalding’s Memorial Ground, with Gill’s 53 the highlight of the visitors’ innings of 188-9 from their 45 overs.
In reply, Spa dismissed Spalding for 133 in the 43rd over.
Woodhall Spa’s Sunday side were also triumphant in their Lincoln and District League Premier Division match with Hartsholme.
Malinga Bandara’s 109no was the highlight of Woodhall’s 226-6 in their 16-run win over the Lincoln side who also lost six wickets as they notched up 210 runs.
