Mark Twells struck 76 runs as Revesby Cricket Club suffered a narrow three-wicket defeat at Cherry Willingham in the Lincoln and District Division One.

The home side posted 165-9 from their 40 overs on Sunday, but the hosts reached 168-7 with two overs remaining to claim victory.

With the bat, Twells led the way with his 76, backed up well by Ian Roberts (31), Robert Jeffery (16), Aahad Khalid (15 not out) and Will Laird (11).

Revesby set about attempting to dismiss the Cherry Willingham batsmen, but fell just short.

Darren Hunt (2-125), Laird (2-19) and Lawrence Steadman (2-44) took two wickets apiece while Khalid added a victim (1-23).
