Horncastle Cricket Club is holding a pre-season players meeting at the Bull Hotel on Tuesday March 3, from 7.30pm.

The social evening will give players who are looking to represent the senior Saturday or Sunday sides in 2015 the opportunity to get together and discuss their ideas and thoughts for the coming year.

There will also be the chance for players to complete their registration forms for 2015 and order any playing gear they may require.

New club captain Nick Hill said: “Hopefully there will be a good turnout of players. It will give us all a chance to sit down, have a drink and some food and discuss the aspirations of the club for the coming season’.

Club Chairman Dean Wilkinson added: “The committee has worked over the winter months to put together an exciting programme of events.

“We are organising a pre-season trip to use the indoor nets at Trent Bridge, the club has entered a team in a new national T20 under 19s competition and we are also making Friday evening a club night down for both juniors and seniors down at the Astro Bar during the summer months.

“Along with the annual beer festival and a mid-week summer eight-a-side competition it looks like being a busy year. But we need to know the club has the support and backing of enough players to make these projects viable.”

All players registered on the Horncastle-playcricket should receive an invite via email, but all players are encouraged to attend along with anyone interested in joining the club. Any one requiring further details can contact Dean Wilkinson on 07584 679744 or email
