Woodhall Spa Cricket Club will be aiming to bounce back to winning ways tomorrow (Saturday) in the Linclolnshire ECB Premier Division when they visit struggling Grimsby.

Defeats against Skegness and Lindum have put paid to Woodhall’s lingering title hopes during the last couple of weeks.

Skipper Jack Luffman has seen his side slip to fifth place in the table behind Sleaford who won against Louth last time out.

Woodhall’s batting let them down badly last Saturday when they were dismissed for 128 at Lindum who knocked off the runs for the loss of just two wickets.

Luffman will be hoping his normally prolific opening pair of Sam Evison and Jonny Cheer can return to form against a Grimsby attack led by the dangerous Lee Carlton.

Woodhall’s plans could also hinge on overseas star Malinga Bandara and all-rounder Ben O’Brien - depending on the latter’s availability.

*Woodhall Spa seconds will have home advantage tomorrow against Moulton Harrox in the Premier Division of the South Lincs and Border League at Jubilee Park.
