Horncastle Cricket Club will be aiming to break their ‘duck’ tomorrow (Saturday) when they visit fellow strugglers Hartsholme seconds in Division One of the Lincolnshire County League.

Horncastle have yet to win in four games although rain ruined what was a promising start to their clash at Holton-le-Clay last Saturday.

With openers Harry Smith and Nick Paige leading the way, Horncastle advanced to 87-3 when the heavens opened.

Tomorrow’s opponents are also looking for their first win of the campaign with both sides in the bottom four of the table.

Horncastle will again be looking for a solid start from Smith and skipper Paige who continues to lead an inexperienced side.

Meanwhile, Horncastle will also be in action on Sunday when they visit Nocton in their opening Premier Trophy Group A game of the season.
