Some of the world’s top cricketers will be heading for Woodhall Spa this summer.

Former England Test bowlers Graeme Swann and Matthew Hoggard could be among the big names in action when the star-studded Lashing XI take on Woodhall Spa at Jubilee Park in July.

They could be joined by the likes of giant West Indies pace man Courtney Walsh and former India Test opener Wasim Jaffer.

The famous Lashings side - comprised of former Test and county players - plays a series of exhibition matches around the country, helping raise thousands of pounds.

Their last visit to Woodhall Spa two years ago was a major success with Jaffer slamming a spectacular century to entertain a massive crowd.

This year’s contest - which will be played over 35 overs - is being sponsored by Horncastle based Crowders Nurseries.
