Viewpoint: Road closed!

A woman in a white car attempts to drive into Prospect Street (from the A158).

When questioned, she said (and I quote) ‘I wasn’t aware the road was closed.’

This was the same woman I (and others) had watched seconds before remove the bollards at the junction of West Street / Lincoln Road and drive within inches of at least three road closed signs.

Perhaps this lady would have been a suitable candidate for the new eye tests for drivers proposed by the police
