Roadworks: No joined up thinking

While much attention has been on West Street, I would remind people of what is happening at another location in Horncastle, Louth Road.

Temporary traffic lights have been working (I use that term loosely) for several days now.

Living locally, I believe that during the last 12 months there have been temporary lights in operation more days than not.

I have lost count of the number of different contractors carrying out repairs on that section of road - water, electricity, housebuilders.

There would appear to be no joined-up thinking.

One contractors finishes, re-surfaces the road and then a few days later another contractors come along and digs it up again. Ridiculous.
