Festive family bingo and young farmers

Festive family bingo - A special Saturday Night Family Bingo session is on the cards this week in the town hall, the last get together in 2015.

The popular sessions have continued to give a welcome boost to the hall refurbishing fund throughout the year and it is eyes down at 7.30pm for some good cash prizes, with a raffle and refreshments during the half time interval.

Children, who must be accompanied, will receive a free raffle ticket with a draw at the end of each bingo game.

Details from Margaret Kane on 01673 858067, who organises the family evenings on behalf of Wragby WI as their contribution to the town hall.

Young Farmers - A very successful New Members Night at their meeting place, the Wragby Fire Station on the Millbrook Business Park launched the busy winter programme for the Wragby and District Young Farmers Club members and since then they have enjoyed weekly get-togethers for varied activities.

Visits have been made to Baumber for a tour of the Stourton Estates, to Benniworth to see the wild venison and to Lincoln for the Ghost Walk.

Social evenings have included an interclub social and the Annual County Ball at the Lincolnshire Showground.

Members have taken part in the annual county competitions including the Mock Auction, the pub quiz, and sports competitions at Louth and joined the congregation at Lincoln Cathedral all interspersed with meetings at the Fire Station which included ‘Networking and Know How’ and a talk on Inheritance.

As the festive season draws near, they are looking forward to a visit to the Pantomime at the Lincoln Theatre Royal, a charity talk and arranging Secret Santa Selections in preparation for their Christmas meal at the Heneage Arms, Hainton on December 15 and an inter club social on December 22 .

The annual County Jingle Ball takes place in Horncastle on December 19 and they will end the year with their traditional charity carol singing tour on December 24.

The members plan to meet in Wragby Market Place on Christmas Eve at 6pm before following a local countryside tour visiting former club members to deliver a little festive cheer while collecting donations for their chosen charity.
