The owner of a Wragby nursery has been named as one of the UK’s 10 most influential people in childcare.
Samantha Britton and her husband Jarrod set up Mon Ami Children’s Nurseries in 2002.
The company now has Ofsted outstanding nurseries in Boston, Swineshead and Alford - along with the new nursery which opened at the end of last year in Wragby.
Mrs Britton has been included in the NMT Nursery Top 10 Most Influential 2016, part of NMT Nursery Top 20 organised by Nursery Management Today magazine and sponsored by Barclays.
She will be attending an awards ceremony at Barclays HQ in Canary Wharf, London, tomorrow (Thursday) where the NMT Nursery Top 20 will be recognised and rewarded.
NMT Top 20 includes the Top 10 Most Influential People, the Top 5 Most Inspirational People and the Top 5 businesses from the Nursery Business Index.
Mrs Britton said: “I’m surprised but delighted to have been shortlisted. It’s lovely to receive this kind of recognition. I couldn’t have done it without the support of my brilliant staff and the parents of the children we look after.”
Mrs Britton was nominated for the award by senior nursery manager at Mon Ami Kristina Johnson. She said: “Samantha is completely driven by her wish to provide high-quality childcare for families, regardless of their circumstances.
“Samantha’s inspiration is a way of life. She is not an owner who sits back and lets others do the work. She is fully committed and will do whatever it takes to provide the right care for children.”
