A 19-year-old Wood Enderby man has been sentenced after driving without due care and attention, failing to stop after causing an accident, and failing to report the collision to the police.
Lincoln George Cupples, of Church Lane, was not present at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on February 24, but submitted guilty pleas to all three charges.
The three charges relate to an incident in West Street, Horncastle, on July 15 last year, in which a car belonging to another motorist was damaged.
For failing to stop, Cupples was fined £95 and his driving record was endorsed with five penalty points. He was also ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge. No separate penalties were given for the other two charges.
