Witnesses sought after violence at Spilsby hotel


Police are appealing for witnesses after an alleged assault took place at the George Hotel, Spilsby, followed by a collision in the car park last night (Friday September 4)

This incident was reported to the police at 11.56pm.

An altercation took place inside the George Hotel and continued outside in the carpark. A 62-year-old local man sustained minor injuries after an alleged assault inside the premises.

A 44-year-old man was then in collision with a car outside the premises in the carpark. He was taken to Pilgrim hospital, Boston, with what transpired to be cuts, grazes and bruises. His condition is not life-threatening.

Police are currently at the scene conducting a forensic examination. A grey Renault Megane was seized nearby, and a 31-year-old local man arrested in connection with the incident.
