Horncastle photographer Vicki Head has gained international recognition by winning a major award.

She has achieved the distinction of ‘Qualified’ member in the Guild of Professional Photographers.

The award is only given to photographers who show they deliver high quality images, products and customer service.

Vicki is now one of only around 135 people in the country to hold the title.

The Guild also runs an Image of the Month competition and received around 10,000 entries in 2014.

Each image is scored and the scores from the year are added together to determine the winner of the Guild’s Top 10 Photographer awards.

Vicki was honoured to become one of the Top 10 Photographers of the Year in the Adult Portrait genre, as well as having a photograph short-listed for Image of the Year in the Rural and Landscape category.

Her award was presented to her at the Guild’s Awards night at Crewe Hall in Cheshire.

Vicki said: “I am elated. I see it as a result of hard work as well as a reflection of my commitment to delivering the very best service to all my customers.”
