Lincolnshire Police are warning drivers to take care as snow begins to coat the Sleaford area and other parts of the county.

It began as heavy rain and winds, which turned to sleet and now snow which is beginning to settle on roads and paths, potentially making walking, cycling and driving treacherous.

The force warned motorists earlier this morning to take care on the roads during the stormy weather, saying: “There’s lots of standing water on the roads. If you are making an essential journey, please drive to the conditions.”
