Do you like antiques, cryptic crosswords, music, books?
Or how about gardening, a walk in the Wolds or a game of table tennis, croquet or bowls?
Activities and interests of all sorts are on offer to people in the Horncastle area in just one organisation – the University of the Third Age (U3A).
People can find out more on Saturday, March 12, at an open day at Stanhope Hall from 10am to 3pm.
Chairman Lynn Urbanowicz said: “We have nearly 250 members but there is room for more.
“We enjoy learning, going out and about, improving skills and having fun.
“Why not come along to the open day and see our stands and displays, meet our group leaders and find out more?”
Horncastle U3A has more than 30 groups covering many interests – there are three walking groups alone, and two dedicated to eating out.
Others cover art and design, appliqué, sewing, poetry and prose, bells, Scrabble, genealogy, photography, topical discussion, exploring churches and more.
The U3A also organises outings and the list for the next few months includes London, an RHS garden, a large antiques centre and the Staffordshire Hoard.
There is no fixed age limit for U3A membership but it is aimed at people no longer in full-time work.
Most groups meet in the daytime.
The annual subscription is £15.
