Ice cream in one hand, fluffy bear in the other....seven-year-old Abby Gosling really did sum up the wonderful atmosphere of a bumper Revesby Country Fair last Sunday.
So, for that matter, did the queues at the loos as what is believed to be record crowds came out for an annual event that just seems to get bigger - and better.
Yes, there were the usual moans and groans about the delays getting into the actual site but the Fair was an overwhelming success.
A host of attractions entertained the crowds in the main ring and it was possible to buy everything at the many trade stands...from a full blown tractor costing thousands to an ostrich burger for £3.50.
Perhaps a sign of the times was the fact one trader was advertising £1 bargains - a bundle of clothes that you had to sort through yourself.
However, all the stalls appeared to be busy from the very start until the last cars departed.
Abby was certainly happy. - if a little tired and cranky.
“It’s been great,” she said. “I had my photo taken with an eagle and a tortoise. It was really, really big.”
Grandad Stan had enjoyed the sunshine, the vintage cars, the beer tent and the horse jumping - although from his appearance perhaps not necessarily in that order!
