Councillors in Horncastle want to see a ‘woefully neglected and under used’ park transformed into a family friendly venue.
The Bain Valley Park - a former landfill site - is owned by East Lindsey District Council.
However, town councillors believe it is in desperate need of improvements - including the provision of a children’s play area.
Councillors have been told their plans could depend on ELDC handing over either part of the whole of the park - and funding.
