Tis the season to sing carols

There will be Carols by Candlelight at St Martin’s Church, Scamblesby, at 6pm on Sunday, December 14, when the carol singing will be accompanied by the Horncastle Ukelele Group.

On the same evening the annual Carol Service at St Helen’s Church, Burgh on Bain, is also to be held at 6pm.

All Saints Church, Goulceby will be decorated for Christmas and lit by candles for the annual service of Carols by Candlelight to be held on Monday December 15 at 7pm and this year the refreshments after the service will be served in the church.

St Peter’s Church, Gayton le Wold, will be open for a Carol Service at 3pm on Sunday December 21 and at 6pm the Horncastle Banovallum Brass Band will accompany the singing of Carols at the annual Carol Service at St Julian’s Church, Benniworth.

On Christmas Eve, Wednesday December 24, there will be a Crib Service at 3pm at St Martin’s Church, Scamblesby, and at 6pm the congregation will gather around the Christmas Tree in St Andrew’s churchyard at Donington on Bain to sing carols.

Midnight Communion in the extended Parish of the South Wold Group will be celebrated at St Mary’s Church, Horncastle, and Fulletby Parish Church at 11.30pm and Christmas Day Services will be held at St Mary’s Church, Horncastle and West Ashby.
