Suspicious activity in Tetney

Police are asking residents to be vigilant following a number of suspicious activities in the Tetney area over the weekend (January 16-17).

Two men were seen to be looking over fences into gardens in Church Lane at around 11pm on Saturday night, and they were also seen kneeling close to a vehicle which was parked in the area.

The following afternoon (Sunday), another man was described as acting suspiciously in the Church Lane area between 12 noon and 3pm.

At this time, no offences have been revealed and it is also not confirmed whether these two incidents are linked, or if the same man is involved.

PCSO Sally Hewitt said: “Please be vigilant, and report any suspicious behaviour to us immediately on either 101 or 999 in an emergency.”
