Still time to remember a loved one with Horncastle Tree of Light

Festive season.
Festive season.

The Tree of Light on the corner of East and South Street in Horncastle will be lit up this Friday at 6.30pm by Mayor, Sandra Campbell Wardman.

All the lights will have
been sponsored by those wishing to remember at Christmas someone in the family or a special friend who has died.

Donors have been invited to attend and there will be a simple ceremony when all the names on the Tribute List will be read out.

The Tree of Light project
is run by the town’s Rotary
and Lions Clubs working together and raises funds for hospices serving the Horncastle
area. In recent years over £12,000 has been raised in this way.

It is not too late to sponsor a light.

Forms are still
available from Fletcher and Hughes or from A Stanley Electrical Suppliers in the High Street.

Alternatively applications can be made on line through

Next week your Horncastle News will be publishing the completed Tribute List.
