Two lucky people will have the chance to take to the skies in a Lancaster bomber - in what is being deemed a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre has teamed up with the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum to offer the incredible prize.
Organiser Andrew Panton, said: “This will be a 20-minute flight, taking off from RAF Coningsby. As there are just two Lancasters that can fly left in the world - one in Canada and the other at RAF Coningsby, this chance may never happen again.
“Lancasters were originally built for seven crew. They are a bit cramped inside but for the prize there will be a crew of just 4 or 5.”
Money raised from the raffle will go towards the restoration of Just Jane, the Avro Lancaster Bomber based at Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre. Anybody wanting to take part in the raffle will need to get in quick.
The raffle will be drawn on Thursday, August 28th and tickets can only be bought online. Prizes are weather dependent and winners will need to at RAF Coningsby on September 2nd. Tickets cost £5 and can be bought online at http://www.lincsaviation.co.uk/store/event-tickets/air-shows-and-special-events/lancaster-crew-flight-raffle.htm
