Horncastle Town Council is looking to co-opt two local residents to become councillors.
The co-options will take place at the next council meeting on June 10 at Stanhope Hall.
To be eligible, individuals need to have occupied, as owner or tenant, any land or other premises in the town council area for the last 12 months, or during that same period, had their principal or only place of work in the town.
Anyone interested in being a councillor needs to be committed to working for the good of the town.
Regular attendance at the monthly evening council meeting - held on the second Tuesday of each month, except in August - is expected, alongside attendance at some committee and working group meetings.
Anyone co-opted will serve just under a year, until the next round of elections in May 2015.
Mayor, Coun Sandra Campbell-Wardman, said: “As these posts will only last for the next year, it is a really good opportunity for anyone who is interested in being a town councillor to have a ‘trial run’.
”Hopefully, having enjoyed the experience, they will look to stand for a full four year term.”
