Public is urged to back campaign to stop Langton Hill houses

Campaigners battling to halt 300-plus houses being built at Langton Hill in Horncastle are stepping up their fight and calling on public support.

The Save Langton Hill Action Group (SLHAG) is urging people to write to the planning inspectorate, outlining their initial objections to the scheme and saying why they support ELDC’s initial decision to refuse the plans.

Developers Gladman have submitted an appeal. As a result, an inspector is likely to visit the proposed site and examine all the evidence before ruling whether a public inquiry will take place, possibly over a six day period in July.

Any objections must be lodged with the Planning Inspectorate before April 21.

Gladman have not commented on the reasons for their appeal.
