ELECTION: Conservatives seal Hagworthingham and Willoughby and Soothby while independent takes Halton Holegate

The last few East Lindsey District Council seats are now being announced.

The Conservatives have taken Willoughby and Soothby thanks to Alan Vassar with 591 votes, narrowly fending off Independent Stephen Eyre with 563 and Labour’s Rae Rigby with 167.

They also seal Hagworthingham, Will Grover, one of the team behind MP Victoria Atkins’ campaign in Louth and Horncastle, taking the seat with 855 votes.

Independent Jim Swanson sealed the Halton Holegate seat with 582 votes. He finished ahead of Tory Tom Kemp with 434 and UKIP’s Mel Raven with 353 votes.
