Horncastle Explorer Scout Daniel Haynes has received support from the town’s Lions Club to fund his trip of a lifetime
Daniel has recently returned from the Kandersteg International Scout Camp 2016, where he was able to take part a range of winter sports and Daniel particularly enjoyed tobogganing.
The four figure cost of attending this experience of a lifetime has to be found by the Scouts themselves and Daniel earned money by selling cakes and a sponsored “Everest Climb” at the YMCA climbing wall in Lincoln.
The Lions were pleased to make up the shortfall with a cheque for £200.
Horncastle Lions are a group of friends who meet twice a month at the Rodney Hotel with a view to serving the community. For further information contact Phil on 01507 522161.
