The Horncastle Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses is extending an open invitation to all in the local community to visit the new Kingdom Hall on Boston Road this Saturday (January 10).
The new Kingdom Hall was much needed as the previous building had been outgrown by the
expanding congregation, a trend which is reflected both nationally and internationally.
“We have been touched by the amount of interest and goodwill that has been shown in to us in
Horncastle and the surrounding area,” said Horncastle coordinator Andrew Dunlop.
“We began the new build in September and here we are now with a wonderful new Kingdom Hall
with a much larger capacity, built by volunteer Jehovah’s Witnesses from all over the country and funded by voluntary contributions.
“During the time of the build we have had many interested visitors to the site and have had countless people asking how we are getting along.
“It has been really encouraging.
“Anyone is welcome to attend our meetings of course but we are also aware that some people are worried that it might seem like a commitment.
“We don’t think like that but to put people at ease, we thought we would throw the Kingdom Hall doors open for all to come and take a look at what is really the community’s Kingdom Hall.
“We shall be open from 10 am to 4pm.
“There will be things to see, people to talk to but that is all.
“If it is the only time they ever wish to step inside the hall, that’s fine. We want people to feel at ease and they will certainly be made welcome.”
