The funeral service of George Raymond Pixsley, aged 85, of Nettleham, was held at the parish church.
Born in Legsby, George attended Legsby Junior school and then Market Rasen Secondary Modern, before starting his farming career with Joe Vickers at Legsby, aged 15.
In 1960, he moved to Spridlington to work for Dan Albone and continued working for two generations of the Albone family until his retirement in 1994.
In 1997, he moved to Nettleham, where he enjoyed his retirement, his passions in life being wood working and his garden.
He is survived by June, his wife of 58 years, and his two daughters, Diana and Doreen.
