New club is launched to help Horncastle area people find a job

Out-of-work people in Horncastle and the surrounding area can get help and advice from a recently launched job club.

Children’s Links - a national charity - has set up the new venture at the Fortuna Business Centre off Mareham Road.

The job club - which is free - will be held every Wednesday from 10am-1pm.

Stuart Grimes, a training officer for Children’s Links, said: “The club will be focused on developing CVs and personal statements, identifying individuals’ skills and then supporting them to apply for jobs.

“We will be able to support employability across all areas of interest. If we are able to offer further training or employment with ourselves here at Children’s Links we will,

“For any people currently claiming Job Seeker’s Allowance, the session can be documented as part of their mandatory daily job search, with the added bonus of experienced staff offering tailored information, advice and guidance. It will be set in a relaxed environment.”
