Nine fire crews attended a thatched house fire in Main Road, Mareham on the Hill, near Horncastle last night.
Four hose reel jets, two cobra and breathing appliances were used to extinguish the blaze.
The cottage is believed to be 400-years old and the fire started at around 5.30pm on Monday, March 9, staying at the scene until 1.22am this morning.
Emergency services sealed off the area while the fire crews removed the thatch to ensure there were no hot spots left.
Fire fighters will re-inspect and carry out fire investigation later this morning.
No injuries have been reported at this stage.
