Councillors in Woodhall Spa are hoping for a bumper turn-out from the public at a new-look annual parish meeting next Thursday (May 28) in Coronation Hall (7.30pm).

Parish clerk Amanda Bushell said: “This is a meeting for parishioners and not a Parish Council meeting.

“This year, we are hoping to make the meeting more of a community event. We have invited community groups and organisations to have tables around the edge of the hall to let residents know more information about what they do.

“It’s not a fund raising event but rather an opportunity to find out what the many village organisations have been up to and how people can get involved.”

The Parish Council will be providing refreshments and residents of all ages are welcome.

Mrs Bushell added: “We will be keeping the formalities to a minimum this year and making the evening more about getting involved in the community.”

GN Construction - the company behind plans to redevelop the Spa Baths complex, will be attending, along with representatives of JPWS - the company now responsible for running Jubilee Park.
