A Mareham le Fen man is among the contenders for an award recognising unsung heroes who have contributed to building stronger and better communities.
Graham Beecham is one of the nominees for the accolade as trustee of the year – awarded to an individual for outstanding service and commitment to the governing body of a charity.
In Mr Beecham’s case, he has ben one of the leading figures in a project to build a new village hall in Mareham le Fen.
The awards have been organised by Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) to acknowledge the vast amount and array of work done by the charities, organisations and individuals it works to support.
Nominations for the awards have come from LCVS teams in the four boroughs and districts where they are based.
Nominees and guests have been invited to attend the awards event at Blackfriars Theatre and Arts Centre, in Spain Lane, Boston, at 2pm on Friday (January 30).
