It involved a white Audi A7 and a Scania HGV.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: “The Audi car was travelling eastbound towards Boston, and the HGV westbound towards Hubbert’s Bridge. The Audi driver was from the Coningsby area, police have said.

Following the collision, the road was closed for a time.

The spokesman added: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have information that will assist our investigation and has not yet spoken to officers. We are appealing for any video footage that may have captured either vehicle as they travelled towards the area, or the collision itself.”

Police describe the investigation as being at ‘an early stage’ and appeal for anyone who may be able to help to contact the investigating officer by email on [email protected] or on 101, quoting incident number 240 of April 29.

This is the third loss of life on Lincolnshire’s roads from yesterday announced by Lincolnshire Police.
