Glorious sunshine boosted visitor numbers for Tattershall Castle’s annual Knights and Princesses Day on Bank Holiday Monday.
Little Knights and Princesses arrived in costume, wielding swords and wearing tiaras and flowing gowns.
They thoroughly enjoyed the activities on offer.
They had the option of following a trail around the property - and getting a chocolate prize at its end - or they could decorate shields, swords and crowns, get their faces painted with intricate designs or have a balloon modelled into axes, dragons or magical wands.
‘Lady Maude’ and peasant ‘Truepenny’ were also in attendance to allow visitors to try their hand at spinning wool on a traditional spinning wheel.
The next event at the castle is Archaeology Uncovered on Monday May 25, 11am-4pm. Normal admission applies.
