Bardney racer Ivan Lintin recorded a fine eighth place in the Bennetts 500cc Classic TT race at the Isle of Man festival on Saturday.
Starting from 19th position, Ivan made steady progress over the four 37.7-mile laps of the mountain course, moving through from 17th on lap one to eighth at the chequered flag.
He was riding a Seeley G50 for Seeley/Brian Richardson, which proved to be more reliable than some of the other classic bikes.
As some fell by the wayside when the bike expired, Lintin kept going and was rewarded with a bronze medal for an eighth place finish.
He completed the four laps in 1hr 31mins 20.727secs at an average speed of 99.131mph.
Lintin was set to take part in the Motorsport Merchandise F1/F2classic TT on Monday.
He was riding the Steelcotes Solutions Kawasaki over four laps of the TT course.
