An award-winning local farm will be throwing open its doors to the public this Sunday - giving people the chance to get ‘up close’ to a variety of animals.
Minting Park Farm is hosting “Open Farm Sunday” for the third year running (10am-4pm).
It is a rare chance to look around a working stock and arable farm - with free entry and parking.
Members of the public will have the opportunity to meet the farm’s cows and calves, sheep and lambs, pigs and piglets and chickens - not forgetting the farmers and other staff who look after them.
A spokesman for Minting Park Farm said: “We are running a free to enter quiz plus other competitions, with great prizes.
“People will be able to take our self-guided tour and learn how our farm and animals are managed while looking at machinery and other equipment.”
A BBQ and refreshments will be available all day, featuring homemade products.
The farm shops will be open, providing fresh and cooked products - all from home bred and reared animals which means customers have full traceability.
Staff will also be serving hot beverages, cold drinks and homemade cakes. Ice creams will also be available.
Visitors attending the event are advised to look out for the “Open Farm Sunday” signs which will be on display.
The farm is approximately one mile out of Gautby village, heading towards Bardney. The postcode is LN8 5JP
The farm shop’s normal opening times are Thursday and Saturday 9am – 4pm.
