A nostalgic look back at the work Horncastle charity Disability Lincs over 50 years is now available to the public for the first time.

The cause, which was the Horncastle News’ Charity of the Year in 2007, closed in 2011.

Now, Shirley Oliver has pulled together three albums of photographs, newspaper cuttings and programmes from those years as a lasting memory to the work of the group and the people involved, many of whom are pictured and are named for posterity.

The albums are now part of the Horncastle town
archive centre, run by the History and Heritage Society and can be viewed on Monday mornings from 11.15am to 12.30pm at the Sir Joseph Banks Centre or by appointment by calling 01507 523091.
