Woodhall Spa and Horncastle Round Table have raised more than £1,000 following a farmyard theme charity ball at The Dower House Hotel.
In total £1,100 was raised for the British Heart Foundation, chosen because both the club’s Vice Chairman, Chris Turner, and Chairman, Tristan Russell, have had family members who suffered from heart disease. Both lost their fathers to the disease and Tristan lost his grandparents as well.
He said: “We wanted to help raise money for the Lincolnshire area. We had good support from Helena Mair of BHF in Lincoln who gave the people attending the ball a five-minute presentation DVD on the work of the charity and encouraged those present to give money. We produced a special pin badge for the evening incorporating the Round Table and British Heart Foundation logos, everyone attending got one.”
Round Table in the area is always looking for new members aged 18 to 45. For details on a free night out email Tristan: Tristran.Russell@dextersharpe.co.uk
