Interactive free workshops are being offered to community groups and charities who want to better publicise what they do.
The Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) workshop will explore many options – from sending a press release to your local newspaper to simple social media.
Marie Chapman, LCVS senior community development officer, said: “Community groups and charities are often working so hard to get the job done they don’t have the time to reflect on whether people know what they are up to and how better they could tell them.
“By ensuring those outside of your existing members are aware of your existence, what your goals are, what you’re achieving and the help you need to do more, you may just find others come forward to help you get there.”
The Getting Your Group Noticed workshops will include tips on what makes a good story, how to establish links with the local Press and the benefits and risks of social media.
The next workshop takes place Tuesday, October 20 from 2-4pm at the Cottage Museum in Iddesleigh Road, Woodhall Spa.
Places must be booked in advance. To book visit: http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/getting-your-group-noticed-tickets-18935634994.
