The Pink Sparkle Breast Cancer fundraising group has raised an impressive £508 at a family fun day held on Saturday (September 19).
Around 50 children, plus adults, attended the event at Stanhope Hall which included ‘Just Bounce’ sessions for the youngsters, featuring bouncy castles, slides, soft play and a visit from Toy Story’s Sheriff Woody.
A chocolate and sweet tombola, lucky dip, cakes, popcorn, candy floss and drinks were all on offer on the day.
The Pink Sparkle Breast Cancer fundraising group, set up by Carly Dowman, will now divide the funds equally between two charities, Breast Cancer Care and Cancer Research UK.
The group has now raised almost £5,000 since it launched 18 months ago.
Carly said: “Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event.
“I’m thrilled as I wasn’t expecting so many people to turn up.”
