West Ashby’s award-winning musician Elliott Morris has been picked to support one of Canada’s hottest new acts, on six of their UK tour dates.
He will be playing Glasgow, London, Sheffield, Bristol, Brighton and Winchester dates with The Bros Landreth.
He has also been confirmed as support for pioneering folk rockers Fairport Convention in May.
“To be honest, I was meaning to start the year with fewer gigs,” said Elliott.
“I’m waiting to get into the studio to record my debut album. But I couldn’t say no to open for the Bros Landreth.
“Their album Let It Lie was my favourite of last year!”
Morris has completed two UK tours supporting Paul Carrack, taking in 53 venues across the UK, including The London Palladium and Sage, Gateshead and won a prestigious Danny Kyle award at Celtic Connections, Glasgow in 2013.
