Tetford school is top of the class

Staff and pupils at the Edward Richardson Primary School in Tetford really are top of the class.

The school is just one of 13 primaries across the entire county who achieved a 100 per cent pass rate in pupils obtaining Level 4 or above in English and maths.

Confirmation came in the publication of nationwide tables which show how well Year Six pupils performed in their SATS exams.

Level 4 is the grade pupils are expected to reach before moving on to secondary education.

Lincolnshire County Council’s executive councillor for children’s services Patricia Bradwell congratulated Edward Richardson School but admitted the overall rate across the county was not as good as other areas.

Pass rates for other local schools include Bardney CoE Methodist (88%), Coningsby St Michaels (58%), Donington on Bain (92%), Horncastle Primary (88%), Kirkby on Bain CoE (73%), Scambelsby (87%).
