A group of young carers from Barnes Wallis Academy have received the Lincolnshire Healthy Schools, Young Carer Friendly School Award.
Students had to fulfil a number of tasks which included developing a Young Carers Policy and helping new students settle in at the Academy.
Paul Macleod, Principal, said: “I am so proud of our students for achieving this award. As a community, our academy works hard to ensure that young carers are given the best possible support.”
The awards were presented by Pauline Baxett and Jan Lowis, Programme Co-ordinators for Lincolnshire Healthy Schools.
