Horncastle is famous for its ducks but rarely does the town have 1000 of them.

A “long tradition” of duck races continued at Horncastle Primary school this month, with a fundraiser for the school PTA.

Headteacher Andrew Bradshaw said such races always prove popular at the school.

Proceeds from the May 9 event are likely to fund activities such as playground marking, he said.
