Three juveniles have been arrested in connection with a Horncastle burglary.

Officers, including a police dog handler, attended the commercial premises in Boston Road shortly after midnight on Sunday morning, in response to an alarm activation and discovered entry had been gained via a smashed window.

The three juveniles - all aged 15 and from Horncastle, Mareham On The Hill and Chapel St Leonards - were arrested soon after at a nearby address on suspicion of burglary.

All three were additionally arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary in relation to an incident that occurred around 10.15pm on Saturday night at a convenience store in the Bull Ring where the door was smashed.

The youth from Mareham On The Hill was also arrested for a public order offence allegedly committed during his arrest.

The three youths have since been released on police bail until April 25th to allow enquiries to continue.

Two local girls, aged 13 and 14, who were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods, were later released with no further police action.
