Police appeal after horse carriage spooked by motorcyclist at Horsington

Police are appealing for a motorcyclist to come forward after an incident at Horsington this morning.

At approximately 11.30am a red motorcycle approached a horse and carriage from behind on Hale Road, Horsington.

The horse was spooked by the noise of the motorbike and became agitated.

The rider then overtook the carriage causing the horse to bolt and the carriage overturned.

The occupants were a 51-year-old woman from Stixwould and a 26-year-old woman.

The former was taken to Lincoln County Hospital but is not thought to have suffered serious injury.

The motorbike was mainly red and the rider was wearing black leathers - the rider did not stop at the scene and continued along the B1190 towards Bardney.
