Man to face multiple theft charges in Crown Court

A 30-year-old man has been sent for trial by Skegness magistrates to Lincoln Crown Court on burglary and theft charges.

Edward Parker, presently in prison, appeared by video link to face allegations that he broke into a house in Belchford Road, Hemingby and stole a television set, an ornamental plate and a torch, also that he broke into a bungalow in Green Lane, Hemingby and stole jewellery, clothing, alcohol, electronic equipment, vehicle and house keys and a hedge trimmer, and also that he stole a sports bag and contents from a car in West Ashby in Horncastle, all on June 25 2014.

He also faces allegations that he broke into Woldale Lodge in Goulceby Road, Hemingby, and stole power tools and a Ford Transit pick-up truck valued at £4,500 between June 24 and 27 He was refused bail and will appear for a preliminary hearing on March.

A co-accused, who was due for release from prison that same day, Billy Butler (18), had his case adjourned.
