Police are appealing for information after two burglaries overnight between May 1 and 2 to sheds and outbuildings in the Coningsby area.

The first relates to a burglary at a farm on Leagate Road. Offenders gained access via a public footpath which runs alongside the farm’s perimeter fence.

The fence appeared to have been cut to gain access. Three outbuildings were entered and a John Deere 670 compact tractor was stolen.

The second incident was at Tattershall Castle whereby a similar method of entry was used.

A footpath/single track road that runs behind the Castle grounds appeared to have been the entrance point.

Offenders have then used a metal roadworks style ‘stand leg’ to prize off several wooden boards, creating a hole around 3’ x 2’ wide.

Access was gained and lockers and a fuel storage unit were opened but nothing appeared to have been stolen.

If anyone has any information on either of the incidents, please contact Lincolnshire Police on 101. Alternatively, contact Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
