Bardney barber Barry Percival is retiring from his business as a gents hairdresser in the village after 50 years.

The red barber’s chair is pictured above with some of his regulars. He’s sitting in the red chair which he purchased when he started his business in 1965.

He also cut hair in Wragby one day a week for 33 years, leaving nine years ago when his premises were sold.

He served his apprenticeship in Lincoln working at Gilliatts and hung up his scissors last Saturday afternoon, Photo: John Edwards.
