The Great Bucknall bake-off saw some greatly ‘kneaded dough’ raised for St Margaret’s Church roof appeal.
Parish councillor David Forman dressed up as Mary Berry, while churchwarden Andrew Price became a younger Paul Hollywood to taste the results.
Although not as many people turned up as hoped, those who did had lots of fun and helped raise £270.
The church remains out of use until the temporary repairs have been completed.
“We are one step closer, but will still need to get a new roof sorted over the year through community grants,” said Mr Price.
“It would be a shame to lose the church as it is of Norman origin.”
